Automobiles are status symbols. Private lots and huge car collections are the fantasy of many celebrity watchers. Cheap cars are the way to go for some folks. It’s doesn’t have to be a clunker just because it doesn’t cost a lot. Less costly can still be exciting to drive.
One of the ways to obtain a quality car on the cheap is to purchase a used car. There a much less expensive top model cars, at least when compared to the new versions. High quality used cars have come to be called pre-owned. These pre-owned vehicles have even managed to pull some long time new car buyers into the used car market. Think about luxury vehicles. Even after 10 years a well built Lexus can look and drive like new. A lot of people buy slightly used instead of new car after car.Driving Miss Daisy immortalized this concept as Hoak, the driver, kept buying Miss Daisy’s used cars.
There are also some nice, low cost new cars. Hyundai makes some models that are decent for less than $12K. Cheap Honda Cars: Then there’s the Civic, from Honda, weighing in at about $15,000. That’s a good car that gets best gas mileage and lasts forever. These cars are also much cheaper to maintain than luxury cars that often require more expensive parts and even premium grades of gas.
Try the cheaper, not really cheap, luxury cars. Audi has some luxury models that generally sit at the bottom price in their class. These are the best engineered in the world, nobody beats them. A less expensive luxury sports car is the Audi TT.
Some people aren’t happy unless they scrape the bottom of the barrel cheap. They don’t care if the car is held together with chewing gum and wire. Teenagers often purchase such a car as their first vehiclePeople often purchase such a car as a first vehicle for a teen. This type of car is good practice for a life of car care, and it gets the job done. Be careful because cheap cars can be busts. When the car overheats, you won’t be happy.
