Back in April, we brought news of the return of the storied Chevy Corvette Grand Sport for 2010. At that time we only had a single picture to show and no pricing information. Now we are fully stocked with new images and pricing info! The 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe will start at $55,720 while the Convertible will cost $59,530.



GM has released 6 new images of the Grand Sport in both variations to showcase the exterior revisions. Overall, the car gets a more aggressive stance as the front and rear fenders are both flared to accomodate the larger wheel set. Aerodynamic mods take the form of gills just behind the front wheels, air scoops behind each door, a larger air inlet opening at the edge of the hood, a small rear spoiler and a new front splitter.



Based on past press releases we know that the Grand Sport can be purchased in all four Corvette trim levels (1LT, 2LT, 3LT and 4LT) and features the standard LS3 V8 engine putting out 430 hp. The Corvette GS will be available with either a manual transmission or six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. We recommend the manual gearbox as you also get a differential cooler, rear-mounted battery and dry-sump oil system. A bigger set of brakes and stiffer suspension system round out the package.

All in all, the 2010 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport is a great middle-of-the-road approach for those who want more style and performance than the standard model but aren't ready yet for the hard-core Z06.
