Honda announced yesterday, they would recall 412,000 cars in the U.S. for customer complaints about the "soft" brake pedals.
Honda, the second largest Japanese automaker, said in a press release that the recall of approximately 344,000
Honda Odyssey and 68,000
Honda Element of years 2007-2008 in the U.S. to modify the modulator Vehicle Stability Assistance.
Customers complained to Honda that the brake pedal feels "soft" and it reaches below normal near the floor before the vehicle stops. This condition tends to increase very slowly over time in the affected vehicles, Honda said in a press release.
Honda said in February that 437,763 cars worldwide need repairs to fix air bags that may explode under too much pressure and spread potentially deadly pieces of metal.
