Toyota said they will make arrangements for all Tundra pickups sold in the U.S. between 2000 and 2003 to avoid the risk that chassis get corroded, which could make the spare tire or the fuel tank fall on the road.
In November, Toyota Motor Corp. recalled 110,000 Tundras sold in 20 states with low temperatures, because the salt could corrode roads to the pickup.
Toyota spokesman Brian Lyons was unavailable to say how many trucks would be recalled with the new announce.
The Japanese automaker said in a note to its dealers in the United States that would extend the recall to all 50 states.
The announcement is in addition to several security Toyota issues, the world's largest automaker. The firm has had to recall more than eight million vehicles worldwide due to mechanical defects.
